Kristi O’Donnell, horticulturist, award winning designer, and former director of Meerkerk Rhododendron Gardens, has been gardening on Whidbey Island for over 30 years. Her class will walk you through the basics on site location, cultivar selection, soil preparation, transplanting, fertilizing and summer/winter care. Kristi will lead a walk-about through the grand selection of rhododendrons available for purchase at Venture Out Nursery as part of the class, discussing foliage, succession of bloom, color combinations and companion plants.
