Join us for Eat Local Month 2024!

September is Eat Local Month in Island County. We celebrate the bounty of local food from farm to plate.

Enjoy events like CiderFest, Greenbank Harvest Faire, and CornFest, tour farms and upick berries, attend workshops and presentations, and feast on local food. This year, we’re bringing you a Food & Farm Trail map to explore the many regions of Island County and find restaurants, shops, markets, farmstands, and activities. Eat Local Events

Eating local means eating with the seasons. During cool weather months, farmers grow veggies that like cold temps and can grow with fewer daylight hours. In summer, hot weather crops bask in our brief but wonderful sunny weather.
