  • September 1st-30th

    What better way to eat local than to get it directly from the source? Any time in September, explore this list to find farm stands open for a self-guided tour across Whidbey Island!

  • September 3rd at noon

    Join Mutiny Bay Blues and Sleepy Bee Farm for our third annual farm tour! We will be picking blueberries, learning all about Sleepy Bee’s delicious vegetable garden, and checking out our new state-of-the-art chicken coop!

    Meet us at the white barn where we will kick off with a barn tour, before heading over to Sleepy Bee's farm (located on our property). Next we will pay a visit to the blueberry patch where you will get to pick 2 lbs of blueberries to take home! Finish at our commercial kitchen to enjoy blueberry ice cream and purchase any veggies, granola, preserves, etc. you may want.

  • Saturday Sept. 2 from 11am-5pm

    Camano Ciderfest will showcase locally made ciders from the best of the area! Food trucks will be on site, as well as the delicious offerings from Camano Commons Marketplace, Tapped Camano, and The Baked Cafe! To top it all off there will be live music all day from some local artists.

    CiderFest will be held at Camano Commons 848 N Sunrise Blvd on Camano Island, Saturday September 2, 2023 entry at 11am or 2pm. Ticket price includes six tasting tokens.

  • Sept 2-3 & 9-10 from 10am-4pm

    Pick your own blueberries at Silva Family Farm in North Whidbey.

    The farm is open the first two Saturdays & Sundays in September to pick the sweet variety of blueberry known as Legacy - great for eating fresh and freezing.

  • September 10, 10:00am - 4:00pm

    The Greenbank Farm Harvest Faire is a celebration of the harvest at one of Whidbey's iconic farms - Greenbank Farm. Browse the outdoor vendors and food sellers, stroll through the Master Gardeners' display garden, visit shops, and tour the farms.

    The historic 150-acre Greenbank Farm is the host of a Harvest Festival to celebrate Whidbey Island’s bounty. The community event features Whidbey’s foods + farms with seasonal activities for the whole family. Activities include farm tours, children's crafts, artisans’ markets, lawn games, live music, and good food.

  • September 16th & 17th

    The second annual Corn Fest will take place at Whidbey Farm and Market. Enjoy a corn maze, ice cream, a corn hole tournament, and more.

  • Sept 16 & 23 at 8:30am

    The 18th annual grape harvest is taking place over two weekends in September.

    Join in to pick grapes and then afterward celebrate the harvest at the winery.

  • September 21 from 4-5pm

    Learn how eating and buying locally benefits farmers, the local community, and your own health from the Executive Director of Whidbey Island Grown Cooperative, Shannon Bly. Shannon will introduce you to Whidbey Island Grown, talk about their programs, and highlight where local food and products are available and how to participate in Eat Local Month events around the island.

  • Sept 23 from 4-6pm

    Spend the evening surrounded by fresh local blooms while enjoying light refreshments. Tour Fainting Goat Farm, meet the goats, and taste Whidbey Island Honey. You’ll bring home a stunning floral arrangement with help from Salty Acres Farm.

  • September 23rd 1 pm

    Our beloved Arjai Allred will be doing a class on preserving the autumn harvest. She’ll be demonstrating techniques like freezing, drying, dehydrating, storage in the refrigerator and pantry, infused vinegars and much more. You’re not going to want to miss this class, packed with valuable information about how to save the harvest to feed you all winter long.

  • Sept 23 from 11am-4pm

    Fort Casey State Park is having a harvest festival at the park! Enjoy family friendly activities like a corn maze, kite flying demonstrations, a cake walk, a Whidbey rocks scavenger hunt, and a pie eating contest.

  • Saturday, Sept 23

    The Goose Community Grocer will have tastings of their many local food items at their Bayview store.

  • September 30, 10-5 pm

    Celebrate the harvest season at Pacific Rim Institute at the Cider Festival, back for the first time since 2020! Enjoy cider tastings, live music, food, children’s activities, prairie tours, and more at one of the last existing native prairies in the Pacific Northwest.
